Service No 01 : Registration of Mosques and Appointment of Mosque Trustees

1.1 Eligibility :

  • The mosque should have been established before a minimum period of six months
  • Mosque Trustees should take necessary action to register all the mosques under the section No 10(1), 10 (2) of Wakf Act

1.2 Method of submitting application :-

    • No Charges
  • Time to submit application:-
    • Working hours (Weekdays) Monday to Friday 9.00A.M. to 3.30 P.M.

    • Fee – Rs. 20/=
  • Method of submitting the application:-
  • Normal/Registered Post – Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs

1.4          Necessary Supporting documents

  • Main application for registration (‘A’ Form)
  • Certified copy of the title deed
  • Copy of Plan of the Land
  • If the land belongs to the trust, a recommendation letter of the Trustee board of mosque/Zaviya/Thakkiya should be submitted.
  • If there is any special statement of the person who wakf the mosque, related document should be submitted.
  • Constitution of the Mosque
  • List of Fixxed assets which belongs to the Mosque
  • Annual Accounts statement of the mosque since established year
  • Reports of the meeting held for appointing of new trustees
  • List names along with signatures of the persons in jamath who participated in the above meeting.
  • Affidavit
  • Statement of Trustee Board
  • List of Jamath members
  • Recommendation letter from neighbouring jumma mosques for refrgistration of Mosque/Thakkiya/Zaviya
  • A cheque/money order worth of Rs.20.00, drawn under the name of Muslim charities Fund

Service No 14 : Issuance of Identity Card for Islamic Priests (Moulavi)

2.2.1      Eligibility :

  • Have obtained the certificate after completing the moulavi education

2.2.2      Method of submitting application:-

  • Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs

  • From all the Cultural Offficer s and Development Officers who are attached to the repective district/divisional secretariat
