Sub: All mosques to hold special programme tomorrow in remembrance of the victims of the 21/4 Easter Sunday Bombings.

21st of April 2020 marks the first anniversary of the heinous terrorist attacks that took place against our fellow Christians during their Easter Sunday services as well as innocent men, women and children in hotels in Colombo. The attacks killed 259 innocent people and injured over 500. The scars of this terrible crime are in the hearts of every Sri Lankan. The Muslim community stands in solidarity with all Sri Lankans in remembering and praying for the innocent victims and their loved ones and we are united in condemning these terrorists and seeking justice for those affected.

The Wakfs Board of Sri Lanka and the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs (DMRCA), directs all the mosques and Imams of the mosques around the country to undertake a special programme at 8.40 am to 8.55 tomorrow (21 04.2020) in remembrance of the victims of the 21/4 Easter Sunday Bombings. The national level Muslim programme will be held at Colpetty Jummah Mosque, Colombo 03.
